The Independence Monument : (Vimean Ekareach) in Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, was built in 1958 for Cambodia's independence from France in 1953.. It stands on the intersection of...and Sihanouk Boulevard in the centre of the city. It is in the form of a lotus-shaped stupa, of the style seen at the great Khmer temple atAngkor Wat and other Khmer historical sites.

Wat Phnom : According to legend, a 14th-century woman named Penh found sacred Buddhist objects in the nearby river and placed them here on the small hill. A temple was built to house the relics and the city was named for it - Phnom Penh means "Penh's Hill." Wat Phnom is a standard Southeast Asian wat, with a bell-shaped chedi and Naga snakes.

National Museum : is the one of the world's largest collections of Khmer art, including sculptural, ceramics, bronzes, and ethnographic objects. The Museum’s collection includes over 14,000 items, from prehistoric times to periods before, during, and after the Khmer Empire, which at its height stretched from Thailand, across present-day Cambodia.

The Royal Place : was constructed over a century ago to serve as the residence of the King of Cambodia, his family and foreign dignitaries, as a venue for the performance of court ceremony and ritual and as a symbol of the Kingdom. It serves to this day as the Cambodian home of King Norodom Sihamoni and former King Norodom Sihanouk.
